Central MD Weather Conditions

UPDATE rain & snow in Maryland
Posted by: cws6196, 2:59 PM GMT on April 22, 2012 +0
Well, the rain is here to stay, at least through Monday. My previous posts remain in effect. As the Low moves up the coast we will see the wind increase and the rain get heavier. Most of us could see a couple inches of rain, with some more locally heavier spots. The threat for thunderstorms is greatly diminished (practically zero).

Snow is still probable Sunday night through Monday evening, but accumulating only in Western MD and Southern PA. Some along the MD/PA line "could" see a dusting or so, while Baltimore could see a few flakes falling, but nothing more. Southern MD will have to resort to looking at pictures of snow flakes. "IF" there is an unexpected shift in the Low it could mean a bit more snow for Central MD, but for the record, I don't see it happening.

Since the rain yesterday was not as intense as predicted, threats of flooding are diminished with the exception of localized urban flooding in low areas or due to clogged sewers.
