Summer's gone!

Yup, it's over and fire season officially ended yesterday. We're waiting for the remnants of the Tropical Storm Lingling to blow onshore tonight or tomorrow... shouldn't be all that bad but it'll help us rid the ground of some of the leaves and pine needles.

Anyway, we went out last weekend to a local farm that has a corn maze, a huge pumpkin patch, pony rides, slides and some novelty items in the spirit of fall. The grand daughter and nephew loved it! We scored two pretty decent pumpkins... one big and one small. We'll be carving them up soon... perhaps tonight.

Sorry Amy, I read your comment late. I didn't get any pics of the pumpkins. I got distracted by my father's failing health and most everything else got put aside.
