Power is back here, the batteries on most of station equipment (including the receiver) were mostly dead so I had to replace them. The rain gauge did not return to service however. I am hoping that the solar battery gets enough charge that combined with the new lithium batteries it will pop back up tomorrow.Conditions here are quiet with occasional light flurries, the roads are looking better too after a full day of runoff. US 26 is covered by debris at Alder Cre...

My station (KORRODO2) has been offline since about 1:45 a.m. due to a power loss. Line crews are out dealing with it but getting to my location was a challenge due to a landslide on US26 (see: http://www.kgw.com/news-local/stories/kgw_010209_news_mudslide_brightwood.2f4b9f1d.html ).I should be back online by this evening assuming my poor PC graces me with another boot on it's sick hard drive.JB

KORRHODO2 will be offline starting 30 Dec 2008 for maintenance and repair. The primary hard drive is failing and requires replacement. This station had a good run this year. The end of the year was incredible and I was glad to be able to supply data for it. My hope for next year is a possible station upgrade to something better. Hard to say when or what, but my hopes remain high.Jack B
