07:10, 75F, partly cloudy, ground fog. roosters up. 2 crows in backyard looking for dog food. dogs out and about. pallid sunrise. muffin for breakfast. doing a wash.
10:30, high tide at CK. mid 80's, wind SW-W, 5-10 knts. rain to the east. spent most of the day mending the rips in the seine bag (10X10X10)which was wet and smelly from the rains and the seagrass that was caught in the net. a lot of little holes to mend. some lead and cork line work. good intermitant breezes and ospreys flying over.
14:00 still high tide at #4 bridge. herons in the marsh. followed a stock trailer from sumner that had a breeding bull in the back. he was placid. I remember when there used to be cattle drives down 345 with cowboys on horses and bull dogs and cracking whips and all - heading to a pasture down the road a bit and on the opposite side. that was something..
15:10, 80F, overcast, a breeze! from the SW. got 2 eggs. rain guage shows 1.4" of rain over the past few days. wash got another rinse. sun comes out.
20:55, 79F, quiet except for the frogs. waxing full moon low in the east, peering through the clouds. wow.
