07:05, 74F, just rained. partly cloudy, sun coming up. roosters vocal. pups out. cuban toast and coffee.
14:40, 89F, partly cloudy, partly sunny. showers on and off most of the morning. clear now. got 2 eggs. found a squirrel in the old hen house. ran out of layer pellets so gave them scratch. could still make it to the feed store. deer in the brush between the workshop and the cactus field. threw some pecans out there. yellow butterflies mobbing the scarlet glory bower blossoms.
15:00, drove to cow town and got chicken feed and a mineral block for the donkeys. all this rain and heat eroded theirs away pretty quicklyly this summer. partly cloudy, everything lush and green. peanuts are bushy and healthy.
29:39, 80F, mostly cloudy. got 2 more eggs. the sunrise was a column of fire that rose up into the heavens. gray clouds on both sides. whew.
