From Pros with love.
Hope you've had a decent weekend in each of your respective regions! Currently, it's remains quite unseasonably chilly in the Northeast with just four days to go until April 1st or April Fools Day. Looks like we may be in for a further punking, this friday as well, since rain mixed with dreaded SNOW is forecast while surface temps hover around 46F degrees! Well, I guess stranger things have happened in the past; for as NEwxGuy remembered on his site, in 1997, we had 20 inches of heavy snow fall this day which produced a lot of property damage. For me, fourteen years is far from long enough to ever consider tampering with or breaking that weather record again!
NOAA's Weather Service out of Taunton, MA has issued a RED FLAG warning for most of Massachusetts this am due to today's increasing winds and dry weather conditions setting up a potential for any brushfires or worse to rapidly spread in areas uncovered by snow.

I just got up from a sleep after the Queen went to work.
She works in the janitorial department and there's the regular maitenance staff as well as contractors at the plant. She still has a busy day.
Yep spring is coming My tulips on the south side of the house are pushing out of the ground and I heard a crow the other day.
Enjoy your day

KA-PLOUIE! LOL!
It's finally getting springlike on the prairie with temps just above freezing every day. Luckily the aren't climbing too high. Even with a normal melt flood forecasters predict some overland flooding.
WE're lucky here in Portage la Prairie as were protected by the Portage Diversion just upstream of us on the Assiniboin River.
Enjoy your day.
Well, it's another sunny, but unseasonably chilly, day in the neighborhood and looks like we'll be sloggin into April with a RAIN/SNOW mix by week's end. In spite of our surface temps making an attempt towards the norm, the much higher atmosphere continues to seemingly side with winter. UGH! Hope that a much better pattern emerges in the week(s) ahead, as this doesn't help with one's fuel budget either! At least, in the afternoon, the sun's rays, filter enough natural heat through our front window, to spare our thermostat from kicking on (as it does from dusk to dawn). I'm thankful for any of Mother Nature's positives we can get right now, including, escaping the threat of any flooding this year!
I think I should check out the Farmer's Almanac for 2011 to see what might be expected for the months ahead. Hope that it indicates a much warmer period, for April and beyond; especially, for those who've felt like they've been living in a perpetual deep freeze for many months now.
Have a great Tuesday everyone and thanks for all your wonderful posts!
P.S. NOW I WISH CURIOUSITY HADN'T GOTTEN THE BETTER OF ME! LOL!

8th-11th. Showers and thunderstorms sweep into New England.
12th-15th. Fair, then becoming unsettled.

Yep it's slowly warmimg up on the prairie and the basement is still dry.
My mother's house used to have water for a month in the spring. WE sold it to a fellow who did renovations then sold it. I see the new owners have had a machine clearing snow from around the house. I guess with the sump pit in the basement they must have suspected flooding there.
Have a good day
Hopefully, I've posted enough pertinent weather advisory data in my blog header for those who may be seriously affected by Thursday into Friday's Nor'Easter. Thankfully, NOAA's weather advisory map indicates that Methuen is just outside of the winter advisory area which is marked in deep pink (See map below). Nevertheless, I have a feeling that a few to several inches of the heavy wet stuff will be making its way here; therefore, my hubby and I plan on taking all necessary precautions with all sorts of essential emergency supplies.
***PERSONAL NOTE***
Unfortunately, I won't be able to post for the next couple of days, as I have developed a mild eye infection on my left lid
At least, today is sunny
HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT WEDNESDAY AND STAYS SAFE, WARM AND WELL!
Well,it looks like the most snow will be north of us,but we may get a little backlash before the precip ends, but this still will be a big storm, with lots of rain and wind with it.More storminess next week and cool weather,no spring in sight.
What a day this has been,I was going to say good morning, but realized it was 1 pm already, haven't stopped since I got in and worked late until 6:30 last night.
Boy Aruba sounds nice right now.
Look forward to seeing you back on the blogs again, soon!
