I see, pfile I'm pulling for George Clooney. Took a lot of guts to make a black and white film based on Edward R. Murrow - let alone do it brilliantly and write, direct, produce and act in same. Probably a dark horse but I think he deserves recogniton for daring to be different and getting it right.
biyatches is of course "ebonic" slang for "bit**es", its considered a term of endearment here. but it does sound like it could come from those two wild and crazy guys.
man i really should say something weather related here. crazy weather here with this micro high pressure keeping the rain out of the east bay. but it looks like it might be collapsing soon.
I actually saw Good Night & Good Luck. While it was certainly topical and
thought-provoking, it wasn't much of an inspiring movie -- kind of flat.
So while we're making bets on movies we haven't seen yet, my money's
on Brokeback Mountain. (nope, haven't seen it yet) And if Ang Lee doesn't
win for this one, I'm calling bullshit -- I mean, Crouching Tiger Hidden
Dragon only got "Best Foreign Language Film" and lost out to Gladiator!?
Wow -- I'm watching the red carpet thing. I've never seen Will Farrell not
acting totally nuts. Amazing - he almost seems like a normal guy. Whoa, and
Remax has an HD commercial now? (that's going to spoil our comm detection...)
Oh, and thanks for the link for the VW spot. That is awesome.

"Reasonable HD content" -- except whenever they show a film clip they
seem to be upsampling the DVD. That's spelled u-g-l-y. Their production
budget probably didn't allow them to go around and get clips from all of
the old movies they were putting together for some of the montages they're
showing. Presumably the clips of this year's movies will be actual HD.

rico99 - i dont know, i was just fooling around. some guy posted a radar picture in Dr. Masters' blog of whittier from the other day showing torrential downpour over my ancestral home. and then i had to make a username to comment, and then i just got carried away.
ObWeather: the rain just caused a dropout in my recording of the oscars.
