Post your Ocean Salute Pic

August 28, 2007:

I thought of this idea last week and now going to do it.
Many of you over the past 2 years have taken pictures of you alone, or in pairs or groups, doing the WUBA Ocean Salute. And if you do not like that term, we can call it the WU Salute.

I am going to go and find as many of them as I can. If I do not get yours here, please find it and put it in as a comment. Be sure and list the Ocean you are Saluting (or location). This will be fun, and now with the peak hurricane season upon us, perhaps it will help!
Let's have fun and get those picture comments posted. If you haven't done an "Ocean Salure" picture, go out to you nearby body of water and get on made!

Also; open to other conversation here also; not just Salute Pictures. And, been looking around at blogs I KNOW had salute pictures and they are gone. So, Bob, I know you have several, Damon, you have more out there somewhere also. Rays, I think I got some of yours in your archives. Shera, if you got any to add, please fill them in. Getting a lot of postive feedback here on this subject. And those that do not have an ocean, a pond, lake, river, is just as good. Going to get some from England this weekend! LOL

This could be something that can bring us together again.

August 30, 2007: I can finally let out the secret and great news!!!! Going to be a "Gamma" again for the 4th time next spring. YIPEE!!!!

Sept 1, 2007: This time last year I bought my first pack of cigs in over 6 months.(but I wasn't nicotine free last year just cig free) ..
that was 2006 and this is 2007...
I am now 3 months nicotine and cig free. and one month now off of Chantix. I have no desire to ever be a smoker again... yes, I miss smoking sometimes more than others. and I have put on a few pounds since getting off of the Chantix which is normal...but I will make it this time. Thanks to all of the support I have received on these blogs from all of you my friends.
And to you out there in the same situation, some have been "non smokers" for more time or less time than I have... and some are planning their Stop Date ... Good luck to us all!

Sept 2, 2007: All of the family together along with Scott's parents and grandparents today for pool party BBQ. very casual and fun.
We talked about the new baby arriving next March and the wedding plans for next July, bridesmaids, flowers, etc... and the new baby and the baby's room at their house. Was a lot of fun. Babies and Weddings and family; that is what it is all about my friends.

Son and DIL brought over their newest puppy (our newest grand dog)... Introduce Saber, he is about 8 weeks old, part Lab, part Boxer so will be very much a water dog (already in the pool) and children friendly (their other dogs have been boxers). Such a little cutie. Posting 2 pictures of the newest addition to the family.

first pic got approved quickly 2nd still not approved so doing it manually into the header. Saber is scratching his itchy nose! He had a lot of family members to meet today.. the humans and his doggie cousins.. so much fun.
never mind, 2nd photo approved so deleting the manual one.

August 25, 2007: It is Saturday. Have a wonderful weekend.

August 24, 2007:
We have a Birthday today... it is sbKaren's birthday so please stop by her blog and wish her a good one!

Also, for those of you in South Florida, today also marks the 15th Anniversary of Hurricane Andrew. If you lived in Dade County or even parts of Broward you will never forget that night or the weeks following that small storm.

If you have a Hurricane Andrew Story, please feel free to leave it in my blog. It would be interesting reading.

August 22, 2007:

Well, my birthday has come and gone so time for a new thread. Thanks again to all of you that made it so special!

I've been worried that Broward County has not had an official WUBA Salute to ward off the Hurricanes coming ashore... a lot of the other coasts have had this salute but not our county. So today Rylee and Gams put on our WUBA shirts and headed to the beach to give the Atlantic Ocean the old WUBA Ocean Salute!
Now my Broward Friends, not to worry, our beach has been saluted! LOL

Hugs to Texas
Posted by: seflagamma, 12:31 PM GMT on August 13, 2007 +0
Friday, August 17, 2007:
My friends in Texas, man you all cannot catch a break. Last year it was drought and wild fires, this year it has been one flood after another. Now you just got hit by TS Erin with flooding all over the place and it looks like Hurricane Dean could be heading in your direction. And you do not hear much whining from Texas about these things. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. But heck, You all are TEXANS and you can handle anything nature throws at you. Texans are a tough bunch! Hang in there my friends.

Monday, August 13, 2007:

Take a look around, our "season" has officially become ACTIVE. So just a reminder, if you are in Hurricane Country this week would be a good time to finish up your hurricane supplies. Get it organized, make sure your stuff from last year still works, etc.
I've got some big gas cans (for the generator)that need to be filled up; was waiting awhile for that so the gas won't get old too fast. Also, crank up your generator; you are suppose to crank it up I think every 3 months to keep it tuned.

I will keep my blog open but not updated regularly. I will probably be spending more of my blogging time on the real "Weather Blogs" for a while like all of you will.
