Does anyone know which blog the pictures from yesterday' "Portlight Destin Doggie Walk" are posted? Rays? Aubie?(he already said he didn't take any but many did) TK?, Code, Sugar? Foxx? AllyB? I know lots of pictures were taken but no one has them posted yet. If you find any please stop by and let us know.
thanks!

"I did it! " Well, that is what the sticker says that I received when I ran under the 6 mile finish line this morning during the March of Dimes March for Babies event! Yes, you know I did the entire 6 miles.. actually did an extra mile plus because I did not take the shuttle bus from the parking garage over 1/2 mile away to the park. Walked it both times.
This year had even more people than last year. And to see so many out there walking for our babies brings a tear to my eye. Some of those shirts read "In Memory of" for the babies that didn't make it but most these days do make it because of Answered Prayers and March of Dimes and our wonderful Doctors and Nurses and medial staff.
Last year Ellen and Rylee did it with me but I was alone this year and that was ok. I did the 6 miles in 1 hr and 15 mins which was pretty darn good.
At the beach it was nice weather this morning but really a little too windy... but at least not very hot..so no one was passing out from over heating. Actually our beach had "rip tide" warnings up the waves were so bad and wind making rips currents in the water.
I took some pictures of the beach during part of my "walking" miles and will post some here. And I got someone to take a picture of me right after I finished so I would have "proof" I was there. LOL
And I want to say "Thank YOu" to all those who contributed to this event. Seven of you WU friends contributed and one person from work gave and of course my donation. We now have a total of $375 collected. I really appreciate you all.
Thank you BD!

Since this drought is so serious now, bringing back the old drought map I had in the past to show the number of counties what are now fushia. Not good my friends.

Will keep the dancing baby up a while longer!

The bottom pictures are of Monarch Butterflies as caterpillar and chrysalis...On the pic I had on April 13th I said I wasn't sure which it was.. well those are Monarch Caterpillars on that milkweed plant.. and all of my milkweek plants have now been eaten of all leaves..but they grown back again so all is well.
Sat. April 25, 2009: March of Dimes, March for Babies. "I did it!" is what the sticker said when I cross the 6 mile finish line. I actually ran 3 miles and walked 3 miles during the 6 mile course.
All for a good cause, our babies.

April 27, 2009: This is an "OUTSIDE" shot of my ground orchid's beautiful purple bloom. I hope it gets approved as an Outdoor picture instead of rejected for a second time.
April 27, 2009: Remember last week I showed you a Milkweed plants that was full of Monarch Caterpillars..here one has left the milkweed looking for a place to form the crysalis. several have been formed here under the fence board so this will probably be a crysalis tomorrow.
April 27, 2009: Remember last week I showed you a Milkweed plants that was full of Monarch Caterpillars.. well here is an crysalis. I always see the caterpillars but rarely the crysalis.
Monday April 13, 2009... I probably have almost a dozen Milkweed plants in my backyard for the butterfly caterpilars...and usually I have dozens on every plant.. my plants never make it to full adulthood because of the new "guests"...not sure if these are Zebras or Monarchs...
April 27, 2009: early this afternoon I posted a pic of a monarch caterpillar hunting for a place to "chill out". ..well he has now found the spot.it is now hanging in upside down position ready to become a crysalis.

I never loaded up these pictures of grand daughter , Rylee last Wed April 29th at Butterfly World...
I get us Yearly Passes because it is close and fun and she loves it.. it is worth it.
Here are 3 pictures of Rylee Jo with
1. A butterfly on her hand...and yes she milked it for all it was worth with all the others there.. forgot to mention it was weak and almost dead LOL
2. We have to go into the Lorikee cage several times each visit she loves it.
I buy the cups of nector and she feeds the birds .. they land on her arms and head and she loves it.. other children in there her age and older will not allow this on their body....but she is my grand daughter. LOL
Good morning everyone.
got a busy day ahead; would like to get those 3 boards finished or close to being finished so tomorrow I can varnish them and hang them.
I need to run today.
and we are going out to dinner around 5pm. The guys who did our electric work for our bathroom makeover.. our neighbor across street and his dad..we are taking their family out to a nice Italian resturant this evening to say Thank You.
and it is another beautiful day in paradise.
have a wonderful Sunday!
I sometimes get disgusted looks from the parents, 'cause here's this grown woman in there with the kids and acting entirely inappropriately for her age! LOL I tend to operate on the Peter Pan Principle: I don't wanna grow up!
You will put up pictures?????
Have a great Sunday - we're waiting for
storms here - again.
Waiting for your Show & Tell on this..... spouse won't let me paint the fence either (more and more I think those two are out of the same cabbage patch!!)
I LOVE THIS CHILD!!
Bug, you better believe I had birds on my head also! at one point I had 5 of them on me... even in the "Jewels of the skye" area where all the beautiful tiny bird and hummers are.. I had 2 on my head at one point.
Emmy, not painting my fence, I am painting 4 2'x2' pieces of plywood to put on my fence for color..hubby won't let me paint this fence.. I did the "pre Wilma" old fence and loved it... More storms for you area.. not fair.. we really need some rain here.
Surf, Thanks.. yes I love that child too..
YOu know she loves seeing the creepy live bugs, spiders, scorporion & roaches displays.. YUCK! lol
actually she is coming over ths morning to so some swimming. Ellen called and they want to come over this morning and play in the pool for a few hours.
Rylee doesn't seem afraid of anything. That is a good thing. Well, most of the time. LOL
For old time sake. Good morning
Hope you have a great day! (Oh and your little Rylee is SO, SO cute!!! what a beautiful little girl.)
Brooke, that is great.. I will be stopping by your blog when I get the chance to see your pictures.
Jane, thanks.. I haven't been back to Grand Haven in a long time but it was a very pretty small town right on the beach.
Sand, LOL! Allright.. that's what I'm talking about! it is playing right now!LOL
Scott, that is right; sometimes I wish she was a little more fearful. They went to Disney last weekend and to Animal Kingdom and Rylee was petting the snakes and other wild creatures (that they were allowed to touch if they wanted to)...Today she was diving in the pool digging to go to the bottom to pick up stuff from the bottom and bring it back to surface. In water a little over 5' deep. That is something most 3 year olds do not do.
She can swim like a fish.. we are trying to now teach her to do some real swim strokes so she can get on a swim team next year when she is 4 1/2.
I finished 3 of my 4 pictures.
The Sun, Flamingo, and Snail are done.. I am still working on the Seahorse.
then I will poly them and hubby will put them up tomorrow and then I will take pictures.
These are not great works of art.. they are child like to have a whimsical colorful affect on that garden path.
I am working with basic colors Red, yellow, blue, with white and brown so each painting is a combination blend of these colors.. but you know you can blend almost any color from these primary colors.
Now I got to go get that seahorse finished...
Rylee's brave, I don't trust birds! One got inside our house one time. Scared the heck out of us.
Then there was the mockingbirds that decided to make their "home" inside of our Areca Palm last year. Dive bombing us and the cats everytime we walked out the door.
Are you sure Rylee doesn't have gills?
Did a 3 mile run with hubby this morning.. it was a hard one.. he likes to get up early and run on Sunday and Mondays and I don't.. I am not an early morning person.. and when I try to just hop out of bed and go run, I am not warmed up enough and it is ahard run for me.. but did it anyway.
And I did finish my 4 paintings so need to put some coats of polly on them this morning then hubby will hang them today. And I will take some pictures.
Will probably crank up a new blog later today since this one is getting long.. I don't like my blogs to get over 200 comments...just me, I'm funny that way.. blogs that get hundreds of posts long into thousands.. too long to get thru. I try to do a new blog each week, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't get around to it! LOL
bills, good to see you.. Mockenbirds are the worse.. they are the meanest creatures..they dive bomb us also, especially if a nest is around.. and they have done it to Harley before also and I draw the line there! LO
but Rylee is brave and these birds weven when they "bite" you it does not hurt.
Hi Scott, good to see your post.. yes we have checked that girl out before to see if she has "morphed" gills because she loves to be underwater.. she thinks she is a dolphin or a mermaid all the time. LOL
a beautiful Monday morning and in a way glad to get the run done because it may get really warm today. Got a repair man coming at some point in middle of day to replace the fan on the oven... should be too much of a job. and right now I've got to go and get those paintings coated so it has time to dry.
be back later my friends.
Hope you have a great day. How's your trashy tomato doing? I want to try one of those someday.
for some reason I have a delay when I type and when it shows up which is driving me crazy because I type fast.....
I still haven't had time to set up new thread but will in the next few hours.
Sandi, LOL I don't blame you.. but it will probably be past your bedtime when I finally get it done.
Code, Oh yes I would have loved being in NO last weekend. I haven't had a girls weekend out in years..but planning one for August. I haven't talked to you on phone in way too long..real soon.
Hi Brooke, that is my youngest grandson, Baron and his first day with his new Bubble machine. Betsey got him one like I have here at the house for the grandkids. And the two dogs, his older bros, Aspen and Brody love playing with him.
Got lots of errands done this afternoon and finally got my four whimiscal paintings on the garden wall..will get pictures and use them in next blog.
bbl
