weather update

unprecedented heat
drought earlier this summer
long periods of sunny and warm weather... usually precedes a hurricane strike in Sept.
2 very vivid thunderstorms this summer here on the coast
generally a calm ocean state
goldfinches and monarch butterflies
good growing conditions
fantastic blueberries
warm SST's and also earlier this year
no forest fires this year... lucky

atlantic starting to wake-up some...

I love it when know-nothing media-twisters, always put the spin on climate change.Today I heard all the tornadoes flattening parts of SE US was just "wind" and not "climate". First report this year... awaiting thunderstorm season, and basically warmer weather. The grass and crocus are way ahead of the air temperatures. The odd nice sunny day is usually overcrowded by cloudy - cold - and windy conditions.Compared to last year's anomalous weather of 25C this time last year, lasting basically all summer of 2010... snapped only by the emergence of hurricane Earl which took the warm waters away.
