Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 3:05 PM MDT on August 30, 2015

... The small stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until 445 PM MST
for east central Coconino and western Navajo counties...

At 302 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated only light rain is falling
over the area north of Interstate 40 between Two Guns and Leupp.
However... expect elevated flow through drainages in the area to
continue for the next two hours or so.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Leupp and sunrise.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Coyote Wash...
Canyon Diablo Wash... and the Little Colorado River.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
