Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 4:37 AM CST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening.

* Impacts: slick and hazardous roads... especially bridges...
overpasses... and secondary roads.

* Timing: through 6 PM Saturday.

* Accumulations: a tenth of an inch or less of ice is expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while
driving.

Special Statement
Statement as of 8:36 PM CST on February 27, 2015

... Conditions will continue to deteriorate tonight across west
central Texas.

What you need to know:

1. Area Road conditions are already poor... and will only get worse
tonight. Icy conditions will not be limited to just bridges and
overpasses... but most main roadways will see a sheet of ice
develop overnight.

2. Travel will be extremely hazardous!

3. This glaze of ice will also develop on sidewalks... walkways...
stairs... and other exposed surfaces.

Freezing drizzle will develop overnight across most of west
central Texas. This drizzle will leave a glaze of ice on area
roadways... on top of the ice and snow pack already in place. Those
areas that had seen a little melting of the ice during the
afternoon will see a refreeze tonight.

Slips and falls on icy sidewalks will be possible... as the glaze
of ice forms on walkways and stairs. If you must venture out... use
extreme caution. Conditions will begin to improve slightly during
the day on Saturday as temperatures warm a little.
