The Flood Warning continues for
the Brazos river near Rosharon
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 1015 am Wednesday the stage was 47.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue rising to near 50.0 feet by
Sunday evening.
Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* At 50.8 feet... moderate lowland flooding continues as minor flow passes
through the culvert near the Ramsey unit Prison Farm into Oyster Creek and
water flows over the flood plain into Oyster Creek.

The Flood Warning continues for
the San Bernard River near Boling
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 10 am Wednesday the stage was 30.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river crested near 30.5 feet earlier this morning and is
expected to continue a slow fall but will remain above flood stage through the
weekend.
* At 27.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding continues with widespread flooding
upstream from the gage with significant backwater flooding up west Bernard
creek and Peach Creek in Wharton County and low lying areas in the El Lobo
subdivision are threatened. Backwater flooding up Snake Creek in Fort Bend
County threatens low areas in the tierra grande subdivision.

* At 10 am Wednesday the stage was 16.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise above flood stage tonight with a
continued rise to near 17.5
feet by Friday morning.
* At 17.0 feet... minor lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage with
minor roads along the river inundated. Backwater flooding up Britt branch and
bratcher Slough begins.

* Flood Warning for
Cypress Creek near sharp Road.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0815 am Wednesday the stage was 164.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 164.2 feet.
* Forecast... the creek rose above flood stage earlier this morning and is
expected to continue rising today.
* At 164.2 feet... minor lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage.




Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 3:59 AM CDT on May 27, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch in effect until noon CDT today...

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southeast Texas... including
the following counties... Fort Bend... Harris and Montgomery.

* Until noon CDT today

* a thunderstorm complex that developed over northwest Texas
continues to push southeast towards the region this morning...
and will be capable of producing locally heavy rain around parts
of the Houston Metro that saw 8 to 11 inches of rainfall late
Monday and early Tuesday. Any additional rainfall will raise the
possibility for flash flooding concerns... prompting the
issuance of a Flash Flood Watch through the remainder of this
morning.

* An additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible within the
watch area with these storms... . with locally higher amounts
possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
