Special Statement
Statement as of 6:29 AM CST on March 03, 2015

... Big changes in the weather coming Wednesday night...

A very strong cold front will move through deep south Texas late
Wednesday night and early Thursday morning. Ahead of this front
very warm high temperatures will be expected to reach well into
the 80s Wednesday afternoon. After the passage of the cold front
late Wednesday night the Mercury will plunge into the upper 30s to
lower 40s by sunrise Thursday.

Strong north winds in the wake of the frontal passage will hold
the temperatures nearly steady on Thursday with high temperatures
struggling to climb into the lower to middle 40s Thursday
afternoon. The north winds will also combine with the cold
temperatures to produce low wind chill values ranging in the 20s
and 30s.

On top of the cold temperatures and low wind chill values... the
strong north winds may reach Wind Advisory levels across the
eastern portions of deep south Texas on Thursday. Also gale force
winds will be possible across the Laguna Madre and the Lower Texas
Gulf waters from Wednesday night through Thursday evening.
