Statement as of 4:13 AM CDT on July 06, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from 3 PM CDT this afternoon
through Tuesday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of Texas... including the
following areas... Armstrong... Carson... Collingsworth...
Donley... gray... Hemphill... Hutchinson... Potter... Randall...
Roberts and Wheeler.

* From 3 PM CDT this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and
persist into Tuesday... with the potential to produce widespread areas
of heavy rain. Some locations within the watch area may still have
saturated ground... elevating the potential for flash flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
