Statement as of 7:50 AM MDT on April 25, 2015

... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through
Monday morning above 10000 feet...

* locations... the West Elk Mountains and the Grand Mesa.

* Timing... snowfall should start after midnight tonight with
accumulations of wet snow beginning early Sunday morning over
the highest elevations.

* Snow accumulation... from 2 to 6 inches with higher amounts
possible.

* Snow level... snowfall is expected down to about 8500 feet...
with significant accumulations above 10000 feet.

* Winds... moderate southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph at
mountaintop level will shift to the northwest and north Sunday
night.

* Visibility... reduced to less than one mile at times.

* Impacts... roads over the higher mountain passes... including
Monarch Pass and Highway 65 over the Grand Mesa... may become
slushy and snow covered at times... resulting in hazardous
driving conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
