Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 4:46 PM MDT on July 03, 2015

... The Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until
630 PM MDT for south central Washington County...

At 445 PM MDT... Doppler radar continued to indicate heavy rain
across St George resulting from a slow moving thunderstorm. Radar
estimates rainfall in excess of 1 inch has already fallen from Santa
Clara into western portions of St George.

Cameras indicate numerous areas where water is flowing across area
roadways. Use caution while traveling in and around St George this
afternoon... and avoid low water crossings and normally dry washes.

Swift flowing water can be expected through normally dry washes and
small streams. Stay away from these areas... and be particularly
mindful of kids and pets!

Some locations that will experience flooding include... St
George... St. George... Santa Clara... Ivins and Bloomington.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
