* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
southeastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico...
southwestern Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico...
northeastern Bernalillo County in central New Mexico...
north central Torrance County in central New Mexico...

* until 630 PM MDT

* at 429 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving east into Santa Fe County.
These storms will be capable of producing a quick one half inch to
three quarters of an inch of rainfall in less than 1 hour. The
heaviest rainfall is impacting the area from Golden to Madrid and
los Cerrillos. Additional heavy rainfall will move into the area
around Edgewood and Sandia Park from the west.

* Locations impacted include...
Moriarty... Eldorado at Santa Fe... Edgewood... Tijeras... Cerrillos
Hills State Park... Sedillo... Golden... Madrid... Cedar Crest and
Cedar Grove.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 172 and 201.
Interstate 25 between mile markers 251 and 263.

strong thunderstorm 13 miles south of Heron Lake State Park... or 25
miles southwest of Tierra Amarilla... moving east at 25 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this
storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Rio Arriba
County.

Other locations affected include Rio Chama campground.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
