... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for Gaines and
northwestern Dawson counties until 1145 PM CDT...

At 1120 PM CDT... severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Grandview to 6 miles northeast of Fairview to
Nadine... and moving southeast at 15 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs... siding and trees.

Seminole... Cedar Lake... Grandview... Gaines County Airport...
Fairview... Fairview in Gaines County... Punkin Center and McKenzie

through Saturday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of West Texas...
including the following areas... Gaines and Martin.

* From 10 PM CDT this evening through Saturday afternoon

* rainfall amounts of an inch are possible with locally higher
amounts of 1 to 2 inches.

* Rapid runoff from heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding
of flood prone areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
