Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour will be possible as far east as Lake Charles by 3 PM. Elsewhere scattered showers and thunderstorms over interior southeast Texas extending into central Louisiana will move northeast at 15 mph into the Alexandria area after 2 PM. The Flood Warning continues for
the Sabine River near Bon Wier.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:15 am Saturday the stage was 33.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 32.7 feet
by tomorrow morning.
* Impact... at stages near 33.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding will
occur. Low-lying roads and a few homes have some flooding between
Bon Wier and Merryville. Camp houses along the river in southwest
Vernon Parish begin to flood.
