Weather Underground Forecast for Wednesday, May 14, 2008.

A weak cold front will move into the northern Tropical Atlantic Wednesday night and then dissipates on Thursday. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop along the cold front, spreading across southern Bahamas, eastern Cuba, Hispaniola and Puerto Rico.

Farther south, a tropical wave will move through northern South America over the next few days, enhancing thunderstorm activity over the region.

Moderate east trade winds will persist across the Caribbean Sea, with highs expected in the 80s and 90s on Wednesday.

The weather in the region ravaged by Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar has taken a turn for the better today, after a low pressure system that brought heavy rains and 20-30 mph winds yesterday weakened and moved off to the north. This system appeared to be a threat to develop into a tropical depression yesterday, but interaction with land is hindering its development, and the low is no longer expected to become a tropical depression.
