Weather Underground Forecast for Wednesday, November 25, 2009.
Wet weather will return to the Gulf Of Mexico on Wednesday as a strong front sweeps through the region. A strengthening low pressure system in the Eastern US will create an intense front that will stretch over Florida and into eastern Mexico. This system may also reach into the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula and Cuba by Wednesday night. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to pop up along this front, with heaviest rainfall expected over the Bahamas and southern Florida as well as near Veracruz, Mexico. As this system creates a trough extending southward, it will pull moist air into Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama from the Caribbean Sea. Thus, expect widespread scattered showers to persist in these areas. However, an additional area of lower pressure over Panama will aid in storm production. Thus, strong storms with heavy rainfall is anticipated in Panama and Costa Rica. Meanwhile, the Greater and Lesser Antilles will see another mild day with light and scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorm development.

With the public growing increasingly alarmed about the health effects of smoking, the tobacco industry had to move quickly to protect profits and stem the tide of increasingly worrisome scientific n

Did you know that...
If you like warm weather, the Great Lakes region is the wrong place to live. On this date in 1896, the Northern Plains and Upper Mississippi Valley were hit by a blizzard carrying very high winds and extreme cold temperatures. The temperature at Pokegama Dam, Mich. plunged to -45 degrees.
