Areas of active weather will pop up throughout Europe on Saturday as multiple weather features affect the continent. In the west, a strong low pressure system over the North Atlantic Ocean advances eastward over the Bay of Biscay. Flow around this system will push a warm front over the British Isles that extends into the Baltic Sea. This will kick up widespread rain showers from Ireland through southern Norway and Sweden throughout the day. London will be rainy with highs near 60(F)/ 16(C), while Dublin will also see scattered showers with highs in the lower 50s(F)/ lower teens(C). Oslo will be cloudy with a chance of showers and highs in the mid-50s(F)/ lower teens(C), and Stockholm will see increasingly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 60s(F)/ upper teens(C). Meanwhile, the southern side of this system will push a cold front through France and into Germany by evening. The tail end of this frontal boundary will extend down the Iberian Peninsula, triggering scattered thunderstorm activity. Barcelona and France will both see scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 60s(F)/ near 20(C).

In the east, an area of low pressure spins over the Black Sea and brings more scattered showers to Romania, the Ukraine, and western Turkey throughout the day. Expect high pressure to build behind this system, bringing dry and mild conditions to the eastern Mediterranean countries as well as most of eastern Europe. Expect Rome to be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s(F)/ mid-20s(C). .
