Weather Underground Forecast for Thursday, February 23, 2012.

A large complex system over the Scandinavia will move southeast into eastern Europe and send a cold front through central Europe Thursday. Expect widespread precipitation to develop across Norway, France and southern Scandinavia as well as the central and portions of eastern Europe. Strong winds will also accompany with this system through central and eastern Europe.

Over the British Isles, a warm front is expected to brush through far northern British Isles Thursday morning and then a cold front will be approaching the region Thursday afternoon and night. This will result in periods of rain across western Ireland and northern England.

Farther south, a low pressure system off Sicily will slowly weaken and move east Thursday. Thus, precipitation will gradually decrease over southern Italy and Greece. It should dry out by Friday. The rest of the Mediterranean region can expect warm and dry weather.
