At midnight... National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect a large area of light snow across parts of southeast Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas. This activity was lifting to the northeast. Through 2:00 am...periods of light snow will continue across southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Mainly a dusting of snow is expected...although a few spots may pick up around a half inch in the heavier bands. Roads may be slick in spots...so be careful driving.

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until midnight CST Saturday
night...

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has adjusted the timing of
the Winter Weather Advisory and it is now in effect until midnight
CST Saturday night...

For the following counties...
* in Oklahoma... Cherokee... Adair... creek... Okfuskee... Okmulgee...
   Wagoner... Pushmataha... Choctaw... Pittsburg... Sequoyah...
   McIntosh... Muskogee... Le Flore... Latimer and Haskell. In
   Arkansas... Washington... Madison... Crawford... Sebastian and
   Franklin.

Hazardous weather...
* areas of snow will continue to increase in coverage overnight
   into Saturday morning. The snow will mix with or change to
   light sleet and then light freezing rain or freezing drizzle
   during the day Saturday into Saturday evening. Temperatures may
   warm enough near the Red River for just rain by late Saturday
   afternoon.

* 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation may occur near Interstate 40
   with lesser amounts to the south. Ice accumulations up to a
   tenth of an inch are possible.

* roads in the advisory area may become slick and hazardous...
   especially on bridges and overpasses and non-treated surfaces.

* use extra caution if driving. Attempt to stay on treated
