Flash Flood Watch in effect until 7 am CDT Friday... Showers and thunderstorms currently along a Langtry to Mountain Home to San Saba line will move to the southeast at 35 mph. By midnight...the showers and thunderstorms will extend from Quemado to Uvalde to Boerne to Killeen line. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches...wind gusts up to 50 mph and small hail can be expected. Some flooding is possible due to the heavy rains and saturated soils.

... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 1130 PM CDT
for real... southwestern Edwards... northern Kinney... northwestern
Uvalde and southern Val Verde counties...

At 1104 PM CDT... severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles northwest of lost maples State Park to near
Barksdale to 15 miles north of Alamo Village to 11 miles northeast of
Lake View to near Box Canyon-Amistad... moving southeast at 40 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to roofs... siding and trees.

The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northern Real County in south central Texas...
western Llano County in south central Texas...
northeastern Edwards County in south central Texas...
Gillespie County in south central Texas...
Kerr County in south central Texas...

* until 300 am CDT

* at 1102 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area which includes much of the
Northwest Hill country. Up to two inches of rain have already
fallen... especially over northeast Edwards County and adjacent
areas of western Kerr County... .and northwest portions of
Gillespie and Llano counties. Flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly over these areas and should begin in the communities of
Llano... Fredericksburg... and Kerrville between midnight and 1 am.

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from 7 PM CDT this evening
through Friday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of south central Texas... including the following
areas... Bandera... Edwards... Gillespie... Kerr... Kinney...
Llano... real... Uvalde and Val Verde.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Friday morning

* rainfall is expected to approach the Rio Grande from the west
this evening and progress eastward across The Hill Country and
potentially through the I-35 corridor during the overnight
hours. Between 1-2 inches of rain is forecast with isolated
amounts of 3 inches possible.

* Due to the very moist conditions of the grounds and soils in
the area... rapid flash flooding of low water crossings and
some roadways will be possible where heavy rain develops.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means flash flooding is possible in or near
the watch area. If you are in the watch area... plan now for what
you will do if flash flooding develops. Stay informed and be
ready to act if you see flooding or if a Flash Flood Warning is
issued.
