Wonderful, eerie, photograph. What is the star. Jupiter? Venus? What time of night was it?

I checked HNSky for this early evening photograph and I see Beta Aqr was in the vicinity of the moon that evening. I believe HNSky is still a free download for anybody wanting to keep up to date with the night sky. I have always liked pictures of an early crescent moon, especially with the reflection of the earth causing that dim version of the full moon.

Wow! I didn't know I had an AC until today. Thanks, Wunderground!

I don't know what the star was, but it wasn't Venus or Jupiter. It was too dim to see with the naked eye and I was surprised to see it in the photo, which was taken about 6 p.m. Mountain time.

I downloaded the HNSky program, and with a little detective work, was able to ascertain that the star is Xi Aquarii (ΞΎ Aqr). Thanks, Bodryn!
