I have messed up! Finally after many years of not having a garden, this year we planted one. For many years now, I've been feeding the birds and squirrels corn and sunflower seeds. I'm having trouble growing my corn in the garden, the little rascals are tearing it up. This one is eating some I put out for them.

chain link fencing you can put over the corn
until it starts to grow, that may help. I
know raccoon and squirrels are so cute, but dang, they are hard on things you are trying
to grow for food. They seem to assume you
are growing it for their benefit. Good luck!
But nothing beat fresh off-the-tree or out-of-
the garden food for taste, so it is worth it!
