Since it didn't rain, Bud went and picked some more apricots. It's getting near the end of the apricots, and not yet time for the peaches, but they'll be along soon, and so will the pears. This is a wheelbarrow load of yummy!

My folks would make at least two trips a summer to Palisade for fruit to can every year. Brought back memories of "goodies"!

There's nothing like fruit straight off the
tree in Summer, but when you can it, you get
another treat in Winter. Glad it gave you a
good memory, Duane!

Oh gosh, Kat, you have to keep waving those luscious-looking things in front of my face! I already showed you what happened to my fruit trees this year... Anyway, hope you enjoy your bounty, and you're right about goodness straight from the tree, or home-canned also can't be beat!

Sorry about that, Kathy, but they were just
sitting there in the wheelbarrow, looking good,
so I really had no choice..right? If you lived
closer, I would share!

AS THE BIG BOPPER USED TO SAY, "OH BABY, YOU KNOW WHAT I LIKE". YOU CAN JUST WHEEL THEM RIGHT INTO MY FRIDGE. LUSCIOUS. I'VE HEARD OF SUNKIST ORANGES. ARE THESE HOTCHKISS APRICOTS? THE OLD WHEELBARROW JUST BLENDS RIGHT IN SO 'TASTEFULLY'. A '10'?? U BET! AND MY 'AC'. KEEP SENDING..WE NEED THE NUTRITION. LOVE & COLORADO KISSES.

Thanks so much Kathy, Diti, Tom and Ron! Ron,
I'd wheel them up to you, but I'd probably have most of them eaten by the time I got to Wisconsin!

Last year, they all got frozen back by late Spring
freezes, but this year they went wild! Thankfully
we did find a market for some of them. No way
could we have kept up with them by ourselves,
although we gave it a good try.:-)

We do have the manchurian ones but our frosts did them in this year and we had none.

We have some of them, too...not so colorful, but such a smooth texture when you bite them. I
hope you have better luck next year. It's so
'iffy' with fruit trees. Late freezes in Spring
and early frosts in Fall can ruin a whole year's
crop just like that, but the years it works are
juts SO good...so you keep trying.

Drool. ;oP~ I LOVE apricots, and the ones at the grocery don't taste like apricots. Oh, those look good! If I had a tree, I'd probably make myself sick! I have a white peach, but last year the raccoons got to them first, and this year the weather did them in.
