For some reason it reminds me of the stretch we do at work out. Another herald of spring in the Willamette Valley is the return of the Evening Grosbeaks. During breeding season they move up into the Coast Range and Cascades.

Wonderful capture, and series, of the Grosbeak.

They come through here on occasions, but
haven't seen any yet this year.

Thanks for the kind comments. While working in the yard this morning I must be seeing about a dozen. Fortunately they are cleaning up all the sunflower seeds that the Goldfinches are pulling out of the feeder an dropping on the ground.

Grosbeaks are such elegant birds! We have rose-breasted grosbeaks here on the east coast, and I got a lot of pictures of them last year. This year, I've only seen one on the feeder so far, and I didn't have my camera handy. That won't happen again! :-)

Great photos you've taken!! Thanks for sharing them!
