About KeleHawaii
KeleHawaii Well..there isn't much to tell about me other than the fact that I am a retired tropical fruit farmer who is now unable to be a commercial grower due to an unfortunate auto accident a few years ago which has left me partially disabled for the rest of my life. So, instead of a lot of acreage, I've resettled in Hilo on a 10,000 square foot lot and took out all of the lawn and replaced it with a mixture of 80% edible and 20% ornamental plants. I grow much more stuff than I can possibly use so what I cannot consume myself I give away to my neighbors, friends and if there is more than they can handle, I send it down to the Hilo food bank for the needy of this community. I also host a local food self sufficiency group on Yahoo. The website for it is shown below.
