I snapped this shot of a boundary and cloud deck from around 10,000 feet out of the window of the airliner I was on. I had to home because my Grandfather passed away. I dedicate this photograph to him.

This is a terrific "airplane window " shot. not an easy thing to accomplish! Well, it is a beautiful tribute to your grandpa.
I have a similar red horizon~line sunset taken out of a plane window while returning from my Aunt's funeral services...funny how the images seen after an emotional event seem to be so much more significant!

Fantastic capture and a well deserved Blue Border .Being a Grandpa myself I can fully understand your
dedication . So I will post my favorite poem to you.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
