This is the bridge that all the news programs showed because it had the remains of an 18 wheeler dangling from it, after the storm. As of November 10, 2004, only half of it can be used, and even that half appears to have suffered some damage. As I understand it, the damage was from the storm surge and high winds during hurricane Ivan. The crew is working hard to repair it. Meanwhile, many people were finding it very difficult to get back and forth through Pensacola and along I-10.
