There should be buildings 80 or 90 stories high in this photo of Chicago’s foggy lake front. The buildings that do appear seem to be ghosts in the fog. Since it was clear at home and Weather Underground reported calm winds in Chicago, I hoped for a photo with nice reflections in the lake. I got the reflections but didn’t get the photo that I expected. Actually the fog was a pleasant surprise. It made a true weather photo.

Question: With it being a night shot, why did you set your ISO to 100?
Debbie
To Debbie: The reason I set my ISO to 100 was that the longer exposure would make nicer streaks on the water. That is, the lake would appear to be smoother than it would in a shorter exposure.
