Once known as the richest, the most exclusive, the most inaccessible club in the world, the Queen Anne style clubhouse now proudly welcomes visitors from all over the world. Our Wunder Photographers spent the early morning hours here watching a thunderstorm on the wide veranda and then enjoying a luxurious breakfast in the Grand Dining Room.

Nice shot! You might enjoy reading the novel "The Jekyll Island Club" by Brent Monahan. It is a mystery set there at the turn of the 20th century.

I was there a few summers before they restored the building. It had really almost reached the point of no return. There was a sizable population of bats that lived in there. I'm quite glad they were able to bring it back to a state of elegance.

Well done, Dorothy!

Fascinating architecture and the information
is great to have.

Thanks to CW1 for the info on the mystery

like a "must have" book for me.

Congratulations, Dorothy, on your great AC.
