Great shot & colour Steve. Rapeseed in my area was early this year, most of it has flowered & gone to seed.

Gorgeous color and clarity. You even caught the little bug. They're starting to grow a lot more of this in downstate OK. Beautiful to see up close in your lovely capture! 10!

Canola oil, a high-quality food oil, is made from the seeds of this plant, which belongs to the Brassica family -- same family as cabbage, broccoli, radish, and cauliflower. Canola is a type of rapeseed, but with a fancier name. Who would 'a' thunk it could also be so pretty? Thanks for posting, Steve!

About backwardguy

backwardguy

My wife of 40 years and I live in Hermiston OR. on a 5 acre "farmette". I have been an elementary school teacher for the last 26 years. I enjoy the outdoors and animals and I'm an avid (not a good) golfer. My wife and I take our motorcycles on long trips and our destinations are almost always the beautiful National parks in Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and last summer we added Arizona to the list. Photography has long been an interest of mine and many of my photos are taken on our little farmette, and on our motorcycle trips.
