Delana and Larisa, thank you for commenting on this one, too, and for enjoying the story!

Pam, long time no see, thanks for stopping by! She still makes me feel so guilty with her house on the dock.

Ron, how lovely that you stopped to check out on my baby. You sympathize with her whole experience? Have you been sprayed by a skunk or were you not allowed in the house because you were smelling so bad? :-)

Because of so many rains lately, she has had only two baths using all those old remedies to rid skunk smell, but now she is allowed to do short visits in the house. She thanks everyone who has felt sorry for her!

Happy Mother's Day, Wunderfriends!

James, I am so glad that you feel sorry for her, too! I love "walk of shame" and she indeed looks ashamed.

Sharon, thank you for stopping and asking. Indeed, I am going to post Part 2 of this story in my next shot.

Tishu, nice to meet you. I think you can totally relate to it. My dog keeps wanting to make friends with smelly pole cats!
PS: I love your portrait of bird watchers!

Alan, oh, yes, she needs a lot of "blessing" (your comment #8) and I laughed at your #9. When I took the shot, it was only to keep a record of what happened but thought that she looked too cute (yes, I am biased) to not share.

I have to watch my two dogs when I let them out in our back yard.....last year there was a whole family of them coming off the hill to the neighbors bird feeder at night to eat seeds on the ground. I have smelled them in the area lately...so I am extra careful when I go out back to keep and eye out for them.

About belletrouvaille

belletrouvaille

May 19, 2010: I carry my camera everywhere since I never know what I will encounter on my way. That is why I added "trouvaille" (good find) to my name. Didn't my dog find a good one to cuddle by? It had been a long sleep since I decided to post on WunderPhotos. (it still took me a month after I registered with it) This is more fun than Facebook! (though I have never had a Facebook account) Thank you for all your amazing photos that have inspired me day by day! Notes: 1. I don't edit my photos other than slight cropping, though I am aware of the old ways of changing results in the darkroom and admire what people can do nowadays on the computer. 2. With very few exceptions, I post photos in a series in chronological order from left to right and don't jump dates back and forth.
