Since the babies were born papa goose patrols the wetland area of the Lake. He could use some anger management classes :)

Thank you kindly for voting and commenting. Yes, these birds are real characters. We have a protected "wetlands" area behind our big Lake and that is where the babies usually hang out with their parents. It is a lovely smaller lake with lots of brush. The dad is very protective of his family, it can be fun to watch.

They are always entertaining in their fussing. After watching some of these battles, is it any wonder that they have missing feathers when we catch them in flight? Good catch. 10 from SW Iowa.

About dixiedaughter
dixiedaughter Hello, my name is Leslie. I borrowed my handle from my Tennessee Walking horse, Dixie's Daughter. I am a retired respiratory therapist and home care director. My interests include photography, genealogy, historical societies, reenacting (Revolutionary War, WBTS) horse rescue, and paranormal investigating. I am also a big believer in karma and try to live my life accordingly. My husband (AUphoto) and I have two houses, one is a country house on a farm and the other is on the outskirts of Montgomery on Lake Cameron. I enjoy this site very much and love traveling around the World with you each day to amazing places. I appreciate you looking at my photographs and I appreciate you posting yours. Answer to most common question is I only shoot one lens for everything: Canon 18-200 mm. ©Leslie Kirk, 2013 with Southern Comfort Photography, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, Pike Road, Alabama
