This is terribly bad. Sad to hear of the homes burned. So much devastation throughout the country this year.
Great photo. Thank you for sharing.

It is a sad thing. We have been having fires since February and we can't remember the last time we had any rain.

It seems like it is either feast or famine. So much of the ccuntry including ND has way too much rain and they are building dikes as fast as they can and they have to have such devastating fires. I wish we would be able to send all this moisture down there.

We keep hearing about the fires in Texas in Austria. I certainly don`t envy you people in this state.
Love your images, though!

About docshovel39
docshovel39 Hello , my name is Tim . I live in the small farming community of Ropesville , Texas with my wife and photo partner Sherry . I got involved with photography because of my older brother Steve - a fantastic photographer who lives outside of Seattle , WA . My favorite work , apart from his , is a terrific book entitled " Ghosts in the Wilderness " by Tony and Eva Worobiec . It captures the remains of small , abandoned rural communities across the Midwest , much of it shot in black and white . I also have become a fan of photographer Jim McGuire . His black and white shots ( nashvilleportraits.com) are amazing . Thank you for your comments and have a GREAT day !
