Thanks Heidrun , Randall , Kat , Gus , Ruralist , Duane and Eileen ! Thanks also to the approvers for the 'Blue Collar Tour' . You're right Duane , that windmill doesn't pump much anymore . I'm going to get as many shots of that thing while I can . A few rusty nails are about the only thing holding it together .

Nice shot Tim. The weathered windmill speaks volumes about the struggle to just survive in tough weather conditions.

Lovely and peaceful, Tim. I love the tiny, perfect sphere of the sun. 10! I didn't know you guys had much humidity down your way, or maybe it's rarely, like us.

Congratulations on a beautiful AC!!

About docshovel39
docshovel39 Hello , my name is Tim . I live in the small farming community of Ropesville , Texas with my wife and photo partner Sherry . I got involved with photography because of my older brother Steve - a fantastic photographer who lives outside of Seattle , WA . My favorite work , apart from his , is a terrific book entitled " Ghosts in the Wilderness " by Tony and Eva Worobiec . It captures the remains of small , abandoned rural communities across the Midwest , much of it shot in black and white . I also have become a fan of photographer Jim McGuire . His black and white shots ( nashvilleportraits.com) are amazing . Thank you for your comments and have a GREAT day !
