Don't know how you capture the light that you do, but this is an exquisite image. I like how you caught him in that relaxed posture. Great image!
I still can't get over your Keyes relatives! It is a small world or maybe more accurately, God orchestrates extraordinary moments.

Lorraine IS a really neat person! I don't know her well, but truly enjoy when I run into her at the post office or grocery store. Keyes has almost nothing, so it's not a place any of us are at often enough to see each other much, esp. since we live 8 miles east. But she is one of those I truly like and care for. My husband knew David Connor, as he was a year older than Harry, in school. I'm an Army Brat and city girl, who came out here in my 20's after college and the Army, where I met my husband. So I don't have those generational ties or family roots, like most out here. Even though I've been here 28 years now, I still feel like an outsider at times! Anyway, it's nice visiting with you. I liked your "Bitter Harvest." Not sure where you are (I will look in the atlas) but know parts of Texas, have been as dry as we are. Please say hello to Lorraine for me and I certainly will delight in telling her of this, next time I see her. Thanks again for your nice comments!

Linda

About docshovel39
docshovel39 Hello , my name is Tim . I live in the small farming community of Ropesville , Texas with my wife and photo partner Sherry . I got involved with photography because of my older brother Steve - a fantastic photographer who lives outside of Seattle , WA . My favorite work , apart from his , is a terrific book entitled " Ghosts in the Wilderness " by Tony and Eva Worobiec . It captures the remains of small , abandoned rural communities across the Midwest , much of it shot in black and white . I also have become a fan of photographer Jim McGuire . His black and white shots ( nashvilleportraits.com) are amazing . Thank you for your comments and have a GREAT day !
