There are two piers beside one another by the mouth of river Douro (Porto, Portugal). When the weather is stormy there are always big wave splashes in both piers like the one in the picture. This splash in particular is in the pier in the back of the one pictured. The piers must have a big strength in order to bear with the water. What resists more? The sea or the piers? :)
