Truly this is a very rare event in the Northland or as I like to call it, "The land of the frozen tundra." This year it's not so frozen in fact we have been having one of the warmest Winters on record. I've only seen this kind of thing happen once before some years back when it was so warm and even Spring like that the tree began to bud and the grass was growing green.

Thank you Luvne32, just amazing. I believe we had 9 days in January to hit 50.
MN, rare indeed. And to think one year ago today, these were getting buried by 2 feet of snow!

Oh. Wow! I wonder if that is happening in Milwaukee, WI where my family lives? In MN, it's still too cold yet, but things are sure thawing.

Adenostoma - thank you for visiting and sharing from Ohio. Today the sun was just as warm, though didn't get to look to see if more came up.

Fieldofflowers, love your handle. Many friends in MN are saying it is their warmest winter in memory. Milwaukee is so close to here (maybe 45 minutes at most) certainly they have some bulbs coming up, too.

And gardener in Michigan, ty as well for the visit! As the main blog points out, it certainly makes us wonder 'which zone are we now?' lol. We are 5a, but last Spring, it was too cold to plant on time and was pushed back fully two weeks(?) if I recall correctly.
Thanks again all for the comments and kind votes.

We've got daffodils coming up, also. Some several inches tall. It's not altogether rare. I remember blooming dafs in January many years ago. I think we are DUE for a warm winter, after last year's ice storm on this date. Hopefully your babies will survive until they are suppposed to.

Hi, you are in Terra Haute? Nice cloud pics today! We lived in Danville for 5 years, and it is probably blooming down there by now, too. Have a nice rest of the 'winter'. ty

It's not "climate change" It's the jet stream! Something else humans cannot yet predict. Record cold near the Arctic right now...

Anttee, you certainly are having 'Super' weather for the game! Love your city! Let's hope if we get hit it will be over pretty quickly.

Thank you Mush, and thank you for adding it to your page :)

{{BF!!!}} Thank you, stay safe today with that weather down there.

And, Thank You, Dr. Masters for including this little photo in your blog today. I was tickled. But, also feel bad for those with such horrible cold weather. The photos chosen were definitely one extreme to another. Take care all.
