You may want to know the impetus behind my "B&W Invitational." I have been much in my home town, not travelling, and getting bored photographically. The BW has been a fun challenge. All photos can be converted to BW, as you know, but not all end up with impact. I am working on the subject being the main statement because it does not get support from color, and working on contrast.
Thanks to all who have jumped in to give it a try. Some nice BW images in the galleries.

I still need practice on the contrast area
and what makes the best subjects. I shoot
in B&W. Only rarely have I converted a shot.
