As of 9 pm this evening, this fire is over 3000 acres and growing. We've had 50+ MPH winds all day all along the Denver Metro, with some gust up in the 90 MPH range on ridges. It's very, very dry with no forecast for moisture in the near future.

How close is that to foxton rd or red cloud drive?? I used to live out there and hate to see the area burned down. It makes such am impact for years.

@joyceg - I see Foxton as one of the roads currently closed. Here's a link that lists closures of major roads. It's now at 4500 acres this afternoon and unfortunately now 2 deaths. So sad. A controlled burn from

last week that never fully went out.

thanks @mike4him. I used to live on red cloud drive which is just across foxton rd from running deer. How sad that the house my dad built could be that close to being burned down. So sad about the houses already burnt and the 2 lives lost. My thoughts and prayers to everyone.
