Issac may fill the river, and I hope he does it with as little damage as possible.

thanks everyone! wish i could say we needed the rain but south LA has experienced one of the wettest summers I can recently recall! The ground has been continually soggy. I know folks north of us will benefit from the Isaac's precip; strangest thing last spring we were in drought and the Mississippi River was at an all time high; this fall we are soggy and the river is at an all time low.

I guess the pattern is: either the north gets the rain or we do.
I think I'd rather the river be low because that means that we are getting the rain instead of the north, however that means drought for the northern crops.......so that is bad. If the north gets the rain though we just have to watch it float down a flooded Mississippi river. lol Wish they could find a way to tap into the river water to water the crops when they need to & when it is overflooded.

thanks for all the wonderful notes, VIP, the pretty blue border! We're in the calm before the storm; the forecast now is for Isaac to slow to a snail's pace, come ashore as a 2 around 1 AM Tuesday and move nw over our house and batter us for 48-60 hours with tropical storm force winds with hurricane gusts.....sheesh there won't be any trees left....

Ai-yi, Mara! Hang in there! We wanna see your smiling face back in a day or two with new pictures of whatever the place looks like when the storm is past. Please take care, and God be with you and all in the path of the storm!

Congrats on the blue!
