congrats on the AC Bob! my son just came over from Hat Creek - Lassen and the Reading fire are starting to move closer and closer to them - it's raining thick ash at their place now :(( this is the location of a devastating fire only 3 yrs ago. the new fire will probably move into the old burn........you stay safe and thanks for posting. I truly believe we need to take a closer look at how we're approaching these fires - I do fully understand that some burn is good, but just how much needs to be questioned and just how long to we wait until we make attempts to contain?? the longer they go, the more expensive and dangerous to fight.

Wowser! That is a lot of thick smoke. Hope they get those fires put out soon, and you air clears up. No fun with that smoke. Great picture tho.

Thank you one and all for your nice comments, always appreciated. I just checked the weather radar
and we are clear around the Boise area. It shows some activity around Twin falls. Tahoe/Reno and up
Donner Pass show a lot of activity and lots of yellow and red. Here is hoping they get some rain with it.
Sorry I left off the AC approvers a big thanks. and while I'm at it let's all say a word for those Fire Crews...

You hope it will never happen but today a 20 year old woman from Moscow Idaho was killed
by a falling tree on a fire in Orofino Idaho'
She was on her second year with the US Forest
Service. By all reports she was an outstanding
member of her crew...condolences to her family and Crew.
