just 'hanging out' in the very warm early morning sunshine..usually 'Mr Blue' is all by himself..so I was a bit surprised to see him with a very green little frog and a larger brown one..it is fascinating how many different types of frogs are in the pond..

I always enjoy your frog portraits, Susan! I missed a chance to get one myself this morning when I was quietly weeding in the pond garden and a big bullfrog climbed up out of the water right next to me. My camera was only a few feet away, but of course, the moment I reached for it, he was gone. Would've been eyeball to eyeball, otherwise, LOL!

About suzi46
suzi46 Living in the mountains of Western Maine on a 15 acre 'gentleman's farm', in a hand hewn log home, has been a wonderful experience these past 6 1/2 years. The photo ops are virtually unlimited what with the surrounding working farms, dozens of lakes, ponds, and brooks, and thousands of acres of forest. Not to mention our own pond and brooks as well as extensive flower gardens, fruit bushes, vines, and trees. The views of Mt Washington and the Presidentials of NH only add to the drama! Not a bad place to be retired..and I am so glad I can share all of this with the wonderful folks on this great site..it has been a wonderful journey and learning experience thus far..and it's only getting better!
