I am an old time film guy--newspaper photographer, in a mispent youth-- just getting around to the new technology.I moved from West Kentucky to Florida a few yeas back.I make a living doing morning radio in a small town, on the Gulf Coast, about 85 miles North of Tampa. Hence the name "Openmike."I ran into this site using Weather Underground as one source for local forecasts.Of course, I had to check out the photography.Then, of course, I had to contribute.I'm hooked. I like doing both.Underground is an encouraging photographic community, as well as a hot photo website. Most creative photographers have desire to share their work.This forum is just one more reason to pack a camera at all times.People who do this become not only better photographers, but more aware of the beauty in their lives.I'm glad to have a place to share that and to watch the work of like minded shutterbugs.
