We got our first nucleus honeybee colony in mid-April. They have flourished and grown, happy with our un-winter and summer-like spring. Here is a photo taken today when I did a hive inspection. Note the exacting precision of the honeycomb they've built, and the nectar stored in the cells. Her Majesty the Queen has already laid eggs in each of these cells. I love these girls!
